Soho House, Hotel & Club - Amsterdam
The Challenge
Located in the Bungehuis building on the Spuistraat, the canal-side House has 79 bedrooms, a rooftop pool, a floor of club space and a Cecconi’s restaurant and Cowshed spa on the ground floor.
The rooftop has a swimming pool and bar with unparalleled views of the Dutch capital and the fourth floor is home to a state-of-the-art gym complete with HIIT and yoga studios.
The bedrooms range from tiny to extra-large and each of the rooms have antique pieces mixed with specially designed furniture and rugs. The bed throws and fabrics are inspired by the original windows in the grand Bungehuis staircase and the Bungeheuis building itself is covered with slabs of granite and limestone with the entrance flanked by art deco lighting.
Soho House Amsterdam also has the Bunge Room, which has a DJ booth and stage and the Library which has its own bar and small workspace area.
Our Approach
Fitzroy of London worked closely with the Soho House in-house design team and Hopkins Architects to provide luxury disabled accessories for this prestigious development. It was important that the disabled accessories were perfectly consistant with the standard accessories and complimented the quality and luxurious style for the project.
